Have a sweet tooth? Check out Dylan's Candy Bar, a candy store based in New York City, owned by Dylan Lauren, the daughter of Ralph Lauren. The store was inspired by the film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, and the line includes candies, chocolate, clothing and bath & body items. They also carry many other brands and ice cream in stores. I'm loving the Logolicious Bangles and the Rock Candy Tee is made with real glass crystals.
Lululemon Athletica, the Vancouver founded, yoga-inspired apparel is terrific athletic clothing even if your not particularly interested in yoga. I love the comfy and stretchy Groove Pants that are also available in a Crop style. Perfect for outdoor exercise or lounging around.
Wii Fit looks like so much fun, with the yoga, balance games, strength training and aerobics. This game isn't available anywhere I am, so it looks like I'll be getting it sometime after Christmas. Can't wait!
Dr. Martens footwear, or Doc Martens as I like to call them, will forevor be a fav of mine since defining in part the grunge style of the 1990's with the workboot. Now they're branching out by creating high-heeled boots. I couldn't believe this at first, but I'm definitely a fan and ready for a comeback from this company.
Fashion label Sass & Bide began as a denim collection created by Australian designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton. I fell in love with these clothes after they appeared on an episode of The Hills in a fashion show. Currently the Black Rats Leggings, with ruching down the seams, are a celebrity favourite. This label is all about leggings worn with dresses or tunics right now. Earlier this year Sass & Bide had a campaign with Natalie Imbruglia posing in a punk style tank dress named The Mad Ones for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Sass & Bide is available at asos.com, net-a-porter.com, mycatwalk.com and TNT in Toronto.
The Body Shop Canada carries my favourite body lotion during the holiday season. Cranberry Body Butter is only available for a limited time, so get it while you can. I also like the Cranberry Home Fragrance Oil and I would try another limited holiday lotion, Warm Amber Body Butter, that looks like it would smell fantastic.
Christian Audigier is behind his own Christian Audigier line, Ed Hardy and Von Dutch brands. He was responsible for the Von Dutch trucker style hat trend. More recently he was granted exclusive rights to the legendary tattoo designs of Don Ed Hardy to design this vintage tattoo streetwear brand. Celebrities like David Beckham, Jessica Alba, Madonna, Shakira, Audrina and Casey Patridge, Britney Spears, Heidi Montag and Heidi Klum are loving it, most notably the hats, tees, hoodies and swimwear. A bad ass Ed Hardy fragrance is also available. So wishing I could ride a motorcycle right now...
Silver, played by Jessica Stroup, on 90210, has a quirky but cool fashion sense. She loves to accessorize and wear rockin graphic tees, the best that I've seen in awhile. After scouring the net I've tracked down some of the tees that she's been wearing to date on the show. Oh and did I mention that she has her own blog!
Speaking of Matthew McConaughey's baby mama, Camila Alves, it's worth noting that her and her mother design the handmade leather handbag line, Muxo. These bags give off a bohemian Brazilian vibe, some styles have fringe, and many come in a variety of colours. A little pricey for my liking, but I'll be looking for something similar.
Hi there! I'm a Canadian girl, web designer by day, but have always had a passion for fashion. This blog serves as a hobby to show off my love for great clothing. xoxo
